What lube does RRA use?
I mean what lube is on the new rifles when they are shipped?
I would like to get some.

And Steve, Tell all those people who are working O.T. on the production floor during the nice weather that we appreciate it. Many of us do the same.

Thanks

Astroglide, Just Kidding.

I believe that they use Mil-Spec CLP.

It's G96 CLP.  Works great in all three roles.

Is that what my rifle was soaked with inside and out when I got it?

I've been using TW25 on the bolt in my 9mm, this was after trying out FP10. Do you know of any negatives to me using TW25?

I've never tried it.
As long as it leaves a thin, lubricating coat behind, you should be okay.

I find it at every gunshop and most hardware stores.  You don't want to have to mail order it 'cause the haz-mat fee is about as much as the CLP.  G96 is an aerosol can, and Break Free is available the same way, or in pump bottles, and in smal bottles that you camn use to lube a patch or rag.

Got my G96 Gun 'Treatment' today. It has a very pleasant smell like the day I opened the blue box that house my new RRA NM AR15.
I also got some of the G96 Bore Solvent. Have yet to try it.

I spent the weekend at a factory-rep event at Belleville Indoor Range and Gun Shop in Belleville, IL this weekend (great place if you're in/visiting the St. Louis area) and they were all about the G96 as well.  They likened the smell to sugar cookies.  I don't know if I would go that far...but it smells a lot better than any other CLP I've come into contact with.
