I noticed the other day that the roll pin on the bolt was lower than it should have been, this was after I had put around 400rnds through it. Well, I cleaned the rifle after knocking the pin back this friday evening  just gone. While cleaning the chamber, I found that there was a couple of spots where the sides had been shaved inside where the bolts runs.
It was saturday when it dawned on me that this could only have happened due to the roll pin moving out of position and while going back and forth was atempting to spin while travlelling over the extractor on the mag block.
I had a spare rolL pin with me saturday and switched them out, and the original roll pin seemed to be made of extremely soft metal?
Is this a common problem?

Not common at all in my experience.
I'll get with our QC/QA guys and take a look at it.
Thanks.

I had to replace mine after the first range trip.  I heard everyone else have issues with them but I figured it could be something I could replace later.

Nope, halfway through my first range outing and I suspected magazine issues instead.  Wasted two boxes of 9mm trying to figure out.  When cleaning the gun at home it was obvious the pin moved out and the extractor could be freely removed by hand.

Replacing the pin with one from Lowes fixed the problem and it runs like a champ.

However, I did waste the ammo the edge of the extractor now seems a little flattened.  Unsure if it was like that before or not.

Certainly not "everyone", but we're looking at the problem that a few people are reporting.

Personally(and I'm not a tech guy by any means) but it seemed liek the roll pin was real soft metal. I'll open up my 9mm tonight and check to see if the replacement moved.
Other than that,I love my RRA 9mm

I checked my RRA last night and the replacement roll pin has not moved.

Good to hear.
We're still trying to get to the bottom of the original problem part.

The pin on my RRA bolt moved up towards the top of the carrier.  I removed the pin, flared out the pin on one end using the point of a nail and then replaced the pin.  It seemed to solve the issue.

I know several people who have replaced the factory roll pin with a solid pin.

Hope this helps.
