First of all, thanks for sharing your expertise with us. The Elite A4 that I just got came with a Dominator, but there are no instructions for the Dominator. Is there a specific procedure for tightening the Dominator onto the flat top, such as "hand tighten the screws plus 1/2 turn," or is this more of a "crank it down till you can't crank any more" type of thing? No specific torque spec for it. There's a spring washer under the head of each screw that flatens as you tighten the screw, to both help hold it and to give you a little "cushion" when tightening. When I instal a Dominator, I run both screws in (I alternate back and forth between the two so they're snugging up at approximately the same rate)until they're tight, and then just snug them a bit further with the hex wrench. Generally,the end of the thread will be just about flush with the outside surface of the clamp bar when it is on all the way. Steve/RRA |
