AR-15 FRONT SIGHT BENCH BLOCK
Where can i get one? Everytime i go to Brownells they are out of stock. Every time. I go weekly. Are these no longer in production? Is there a competitors that does the same thing? |
Both Brownells and Sinclaire are saying out of stock/no backorder - dang I wish I had gotten one all those time I meant to. I didn't see any similar products out there in google land. Maybe if you put a WTB in the EE someone will sell you theirs if they don't need it any more. How many fsbs can you install? |

Well i have needed it 3 times in the past year, and didn't have one, and three times now i took a rifle to a smith to have him tap the pins out i couldn't get out. So at $15 a time, i could have bought the tool, but i can't find it. |

Quoted: There is a better one from ADCO.
ADCO's is better ... but also "out of stock" at this time.... |

So after following others advice above i went with the ADCO. 2 words to describe this:
BIG MISTAKE. What a hunk of crap. The Front sight doesn't fit, the holes are slightly off center, and contrary to what someone posted above, it does NOT have a round channel for the barrel. There goes $40 down the tubes. Next time, i go with my gut. Oh and the Brownells one is in stock now. |

Even while holding the FSB to the block firmly there is still enough give while hitting the rear pin that it doesn't come out easily. I had to destroy two different rear pins on two different FSBs.
