I received a back order on July 2nd for the new Magpul spongy butt pad from Brownells, and they sent me the wrong one. It was a long wait (Feb) to get the wrong item. They sent an MAG316 instead of a MAG317 for the ACS stock. I called them and they told that I would have to pay to ship it back to them and when they receive it that they would issue me a refund check for the shipping. Not a great way to do business.
I called them on 7.15 to make sure that they had refunded my credit card and they were sending me a check for the shipping. I was told that they applied the refund for the butt pad towards the new one that they have a clue when they are getting it in stock instead of giving me credit on my credit card, and they would send me a refund check for the shipping whenever they get the new MAG317 butt pad in stock. Basically I have paid up front for something that they don't even have in stock. This is the first time that I have dealt with this company and It will be the last time. |

Yeah I have had them do that to me over a $10 item. I always order my Brownells stuff through my local gun shop. Number 1 it's cheaper. Number 2 I don't get the Brown Hell treatment. |

You ordered an item that doesn't even have an assigned stock number yet and has not even been offered to retail by Magpul? The only way to do this is to special order. Magpul did send in a large order to Brownells and I bet one of the pickers over there misread your order and shipped you a standard CTR replacement buttplate in error. Since your item is actually a special order item, that would be the only reason they would hold the refund and you will receive payment once they get the shipped pad back. If you want a refund get in touch with customer service and cancel the special order, they will credit your card at that point. |

If there is a better customer service company than Brownells, I haven't come across them! This is an awesome compnay! Sorry that anyone had a bad experience, but you are a very small minority....
Not to mention that they are one of the most generous donors to anything military or shooting sports related. I'm not aware of a major 3-gun match or military support group that they don't contribute too.... They have also donated millions to the NRA through their "round-up" program. I guess I could tolerate a back order/wrong item glitch every once in a while...
