Looks like the 2.5X has been replaced by the 3X coming in February. Here is a link to the 3X on their site: PA 3X Compact Prism Scope
It sure looks very similar to the 2.5X, with similar eye relief and ACSS CQB reticle. They don't say if you can use aftermarket ACOG mounts, but it looks like you probably can. I think its a little bit heavier and longer than the 2.5X. Not a whole lot of details yet, but I suspect we'll hear a lot more about it during and after SHOT. |

| I held off buying a 2.5x to see if the 3x was an improvement. Reticle seems to fix the most common complaint that the tiny dots were hard to see. Also better eye relief and presumably dimmer illumination settings. I am disappointed that it doesn't have green illumination like the 5x. And IIRC both the 2.5x and the original 3x had 35' field of view, the new 3x has 31.5'. |
