Just got in a Gen 2 AA multi dot.  I'm noticing that the right half of my scope (the actual glass tube) has a red glare from the opposite side's red dot projector.  Its very noticeable and I've never seen it before on my other tube-like red dots.

Did I receive a bad one by chance or is this normal? thanks.

ALSO - how can you turn the flip covers?  They seem to be on there pretty good.

turn it down. Generally if you get a strong glow opposite the emitter you've got it turned up too high for the environment.
No idea on the covers, I don't have that model.

Sorry forgot to mention, I'm talking about a glare even when the optic is off.

Coated lenses will reflect light. Normal. Mount it up and go shooting. Look through the optic with both eyes open. If you still see it and it bothers you we will take it back. Yes the caps can be rotated.

Ahhh, gotcha, OP. My M3 multi doesn't have much of a tint that I recall, but my mini dot has a very strong reflective tint until you're actually looking straight through it. Then it's just a slight color cast that's fairly normal for red dots of all types. It has to do with the type of coatings used and where they are, if I'm understanding it correctly.

And yeah, my M3 had very snug covers but they turned. I flipped mine around so they opened downward rather than upward.
