Hi Marsh,

I was just reading the YHM page on your site and came across a set free float tubes that has me a bit confused.

These free-float tubes come in three lengths and are knurled to provide a comfortable non-slip gripping surface. These tubes thread right onto your upper receiver. These tubes will not accept our forearm end caps. Overall length: 12.5 in - Weight 18 oz.

How does this work? No replacement barrel nut or lock nut needed? Is this just a typo?

Thanks

The YHM tubes come with the barrel nut loctited into the tube. You need to use a wrench that will work on the back side.

Sometimes you can heat the hell out of them and turn out the barrel nut but not always..

Can you use heat or solvent to loosen the barrel nut? I assume these are aluminum so wrenching on them is probably not a good Idea.

We are expecting a YHM order later this week.
