How's the ZFL-M60 tape switch coming? I would be able to use one soon. Coy-dogs are coming closer to the house and i'm ready. Thanks for a great line of products.

We are testing the prototype Tape Switches for the Elzetta ZFL-M60 right now.  We are admitedly a bit behind our original schedule but the end product should be worth the wait.

Thank you for your patience and for using Elzetta products!

I'm going to drop some coin on your flashlight because Ive heard nothing but good things....

I just HOPE you come through with this tape switch. I'll be waiting and watching for it.

I agree a tape switch would put this light over the top.

ANY UPDATE OR INFO??????
4/2/2010 3:35:28 AM EDT
[#5]
Our tape switch project is now in the Tooling phase which means we are getting closer to production.

Testing of the prototypes has been outstanding and we are very confident that this will be the best tape switch on the market.

We are all very anxious to get the tooling completed and bring this product to market.  Thank you for your continued patience!
4/2/2010 12:21:58 PM EDT
[#6]
I will gladly take a prototype off your hands while waiting
4/5/2010 12:53:41 PM EDT
[#7]
Just a thought... A switch with a length of 4"-6", non-coiled, would be my choice. I'm ready and waiting.
5/30/2010 8:32:07 AM EDT
[#8]
Any more word on this?
6/1/2010 4:28:35 AM EDT
[#9]
Our toolmaker has hit a snag which is delaying completion of the tool.

I will not bore you with the details but from a scheduling standpoint, this project has been very frustrating.  The good news is that none of the delays are performance-related so the product will be fantastic once everything is finished.

Thank you for your continued patience!

Thanks for the update.  Any idea on how big of a snag (approx setback time)?

Lord willing, we will still launch this summer but we had plan on being to market by now.

We apologize for the delay.

I'm still with ya'. I'll wait it out, It' the last part of my build and i want to do it right. Thanks for the update. So... what is it going to look like? Straight cable, angled tailcap, swiveled lead. What can we expect? Ballpark pricing.

Almost August... The end of summer in Maine. Elzetta has been on a lot of trips this year. The Great North Woods for a week, many rivers in the kayak, and all around the house for many jobs. Thanks guys for a great product.(ZFL-M60) How's the tape switch coming? Any info? I'm still O.K. with the wait...

Glad your Elzetta ZFL-M60 is serving you well!

Chips are flying as the molds for the new Elzetta Tape Switch are being made!  It is a long process but we are finally making good progress.

Nobody (Arfcommers in particular), like delays, but it's good to know you are taking your time and doing it right.
I'm glad to see you're not rushing into production, and sacrificing standards.
If my prior experiences with Elzetta products are any indication, it will be worth the wait.

We are making good progress on the Elzetta Tape Switch.  Two of the four required molds are complete.  We are shooting for an October release date.

Thank you for your patience and loyalty!

Coming up on the time to shoot coy-dogs from the tree stand in the winter. Will it be a year from the first post date? I'm still with ya'. Oh yeah, I havn't changed the batteries in my light yet. Still going strong. That is a year already.

We are extremely frustrated by the delays with our toolmaker but progress is being made (slowly).  Thank you for hanging in there with us!

Wow, that does not sound very promising... Is there a new estimate on when they will be available?

We are so close we can taste it but we have not had good success in forecasting a release date so we will just have to say "soon".

Looking to get an elzetta light. Only thing stopping me is no tape switch. Looks like a Christmas time release is shot on that tape switch. Bummer...

I cannot make it to shot show.

When do we think they will be available for purchase?  Or will we get to see what it looks like on here?

We'll try to post some pics shortly.  The release date is closer than ever but we cannot give a specific date yet.

A light is one of the last things I'm waiting for on my build. Might get a laser too but that's for another time.

I've had THE Elzetta light for over a year. Great stuff. It's mounted on the wrong side so I can use it. Very uncomfortable... Need the tape switch and things will be bad for Zombies and coyotes. I hope it"s all that I expected. Still with ya Elzetta, and still telling everyone this is the light to get. When I show folks it's "Oh man, That thing is bright. I HAVE to get one. Where is it from?" OH YEAH.

As you can see from the photo, the upcoming Elzetta Remote Tape Switch is not just a simple shrink wrapped switch. We have spent a lot of time (as you all know too well) developing a proprietary Tape Switch that delivers premium performance and innovation at a reasonable price.

The tab on the end allows the Tape Switch to be secured with a simple zip tie. For those not wishing to use the feature, the tab may simply be cut off without compromising the Switch in any way.

Constant-On operation is available by simply rotating the Tailcap fully clockwise. In the unlikely event of a Pressure Pad failure (or even if the cable is cut), the Light remains fully functional by using the Tailcap as a rotary on/off switch.

Like all Elzetta products, the new Remote Tape Switch will be Made in the USA.

Well Ya' did good Elzetta. It looks like it was worth the year long wait. I'll order as soon as they're ready. (hopefully soon) How is the pricing? Still waiting for final delivery for that? I know I'll keep watching, But now I am really looking forward to this.

Preliminary Target Pricing (subject to change) is $79.95 MSRP for the Elzetta Remote Tape Switch Tailcap.  A complete Elzetta ZFL-M60 2-Cell Light with Tape Switch is targeted to start at $198.95 MSRP.

Any issues with a couple of coats of Krylon on one?  I would have to paint mine to match the rest of my set-up.

Paint will not hurt it but it probably will not stick very well.

We are waiting on an impossibly-slow supplier to finish their work to our quality standards (which are admittedly very high).  Our frustration cannot be expressed in words and we are terribly sorry for the continued delays.

I think the Chinese would have been faster! (though we would never use Chinese tooling)

I just inquired about the tape switch on your website not remembering you were on ARFcom... so disregard!

Soon as it comes out, I'll buy the total package.  Oh, and are there any ar15.com discount codes or the like?, you know... for having to wait so long?
