Got one to my cart and FAIL! Maybe next year.
Well that was a shit show!!!
Had one in my shopping cart and kept getting bad gateway error when I tried to check out. Guess I'll try again next year. |
well, this is frustrating bullshit.
lol 8 min and OOS.
I really wish PSA would state how many they are actually selling. Like there AKs I have a feeling the numbers are alot less than what we think. |
At least I wasn't the only one to experience site failure.
Same...oh well

That was total BS. If you guys cant handle the scale of orders coming in then get a new provider. This did nothing but piss a lot of us off. I fight the thing for 15 minutes to get to the submit screen only to get screwed.
My screen is just buffering on the submit order page... Looks like they are bought up.
Site shit the bed about 20 times. Got my payment processing and it was out of stock. The price will probably go up enough with the next batch that ill end up with a glock.
what a fucking shit show. Hope the guns work better than the website.

I'm having a really hard time trying to not go full Jeff here. |

I wonder if they put it back to Out of stock so they could fix the overload of the site. I was close, I made it to the final checkout page and then it buffered for a minute and went to out of stock.
Well, I guess if you don't have enough for the first 30 minutes why even bother?
339.18$ With tax and shipping. was taking my cc info then said out of stock.

Had a coworker walk into my cube at 3:00 PM and leave at 3:10. Good thing I was telling myself I wasn't going to order one.

I having my doubts that anyone actually was able to purchase. I think the site was just so overloaded that they bailed.

I have my account on PSA dot com set up so all I have to do is click click click click click click click. The only limitation is the speed of my internet (my internet is fast enough to stream dozens of youtube videos at once) and the speed of PSA dot com. At no point was both a) The dagger in stock and b) PSA dot com functional, for the amount of time it takes me to order a gun. |

Look on the bright side Palmetto can stir up hype at next years shot show with guns that had release dates in 2020. BTW dont blame covid for your website fail.

I bought a hat earlier to get my payment info saved to the site and made sure to set up a preferred FFL to cut out as many steps as possible, but the main thing that a lot of people here didn't seem to remember is that if the connection fails because the server is flooded you can just keep refreshing the page to get to the next step. That is the only way I made it through the buying process. And, for those of you think that I just made this account just to brag about actually getting one of the launch Daggers... Well, you ain't wrong. |
Talked to my buddy he received the 503 error after submission but the URL said something about success, and he then received the email stating that he in fact bought one. lol
In a month I will post pics. Unless Ski post a 1000 rd update video tomorrow like with the 74. lol |

The frustrating part is PSA doesn't seem to operate like a normal builder. With other factories, more would be coming off the line tomorrow, and the next day, etc. No telling when more DAGRs will be available. AK74s hit 2 weeks ago, then nothing.
Obviously, I don't understand the nuances of the firearms building industry. |

If I was PSA, I think I would have preferred to wait a couple more months and actually Have ample supply built up. They have been teasing this for almost a year and have maybe 200 units on the day they have the big release? It’s like Kel-Tex’s CEO is running the company. And if this is the way you are going to release your firearms, fix your fucking website. You know this is what was going to happen.

Place a pre-order, down payment (or full payment), get a #...wait until they produce/ship it. A simple, easily manageable process. I love reading these threads b/c it always reinforces that fact that arfcommers have no idea how servers and website hosting works. Everyone wanted one of these so their site got trampled, just like on BF or any other big sale. I got to the payment page and decided to wait until I could get a threaded model. Weirdly I'm sure they'll have more available at some point. Do none of you have another pistol? All your crying reminds me of the soibois on twitter.
PSA, don't do preorders, its so much more enjoyable reading all the lamentations in this thread. |

As to your pre order idea. You obviously weren’t round for the 08 gun buying frenzy. I placed several back orders with a couple companies. I remember being tens of thousands of orders behind what was being shipped.dnded up canceling all of them. And let me tell you the process was extremely irritating. It’s actually how I got my first psa. Found one of my best rifle uppers. Nicknamed Elmer j Fudd. This system works fine. You’ve just gotta be. Patient |

I also remember the 2012 gun buying frenzy, and the 2016 gun buying frenzy, and the 2020 "There's a Real Bad Cold Going Around" gun buying frenzy. Oh, btw, if you are back ordering anything during a frenzy, you are a poor planner. Pre-orders are awesome. A great inventory management tool. Have a great new product, but not enough cash on hand to make them? Pre-orders with deposits, problem solved. Not sure exactly how many to make? Pre-order. Afraid you will overestimate demand, and don't want to get stuck with expensive overstock? Pre-order. Expecting a massive, web-site crashing, insanely hyped product release? PRE-ORDERS. I'm a big boy, with a few dozen NFA tax stamps. Paying for an item and waiting 8-10 months is nothing to me. |

Only reason is because of Josiah (one of the owners of PSA if im correct) who is actually on here talking with us and taking all serious suggestions of what his customers want back to their meetings. On the PalmettoStateArmory has lost a customer thread someone threw out the idea of PSA making their own version of a 80% pistol frame with custom memes but they did one better by making one that is cost efficient and will forever be legal. And let's not talk about all the meme AR lowers that we the people suggest that are always selling out. Just saying PSA is the ONLY firearm company in the world that literally makes and sell what their customers ask for. ***Posted on 8/6/2019*** Originally Posted By chargerdude70: Originally Posted By Surage: I have Been gone for a little while because I got burnt out on the AR's so i decided to step WAY WAY WAY out of my comfort zone. I been wanting to customize my Glock but the cost is a deterrent. Unlike these lowers, I don’t feel Id get my money back. But if an economical option was out there, I’d be swayed to disperse some income in another direction |

Realistically, when do we expect them to be stocked enough to buy without a lottery winning situation? Never?
It’s great to create an item that the masses want, but if you can’t produce that product for the masses, what’s the point? Say another trickle of 100-200 optic ready come out in a month, they are gone in 5 minutes, then do the next batch of standard come out in another month? Another 100 up for grabs, and half the people who got them the first time get them again. I don’t buy solely the pandemic slowing parts down. I’m sure that has a part, but seeing how the AKs the AKV and all other sought after palmetto systems trickle out occasionally, I don’t see supply catching up to demand of regular gun purchasers, let alone the pandemic/election year panic buying/low price point. It seems like a really intriguing concept and has potential to be great system, but if 99%of the people who want it can’t lay a finger on it, what’s the point? The mp5 and jackl also sound great, but why keep diversifying your line if you can’t meet the demand of your current customers. Do pre-orders and fix your site so when you do your BS rollout of a few dozen units, the people who actually are online and have things in their cart can checkout without it crashing |

@Josiah, give us something, any idea when they will be back in stock? I would love to think you are actively producing these things?

Thank you, Josiah View Quote i must admit i was quite frustrated with the initial offering and how fast it went out of stock and at how poorly the web site performed. I literally had one in my cart and couldnt get checked out because of 504 errors like so many others. it was dismal. I apologize if ihad gone off on anyone *josiah* about it, but as much hype had been put up with the dagger, i had expected at least 2000 of the guns to be ready for launch day and those to not sell out in under 8 minutes. instead i think we may have gotten sub 500 listed and it did sell out in under 8 minutes. either way, im hoping for more to come sooner than later, and more variants sooner than later as well. thanks guys. :) |

Just curious if anyone who actually managed to snag a Dagger off the site at launch has had theirs shipped yet?
Seeing "Processing" next to this order as the status everyday makes me sad. And, let's face it, no one likes a sad OWD. |

Palmetto State Armory - Columbia, SC - For Immediate Release
At Palmetto State Armory we dedicate every working hour to ensure the delivery of quality firearms with a 100% Full Lifetime Warranty and a price that makes them most accessible to law abiding Americans. We have found inconsistencies in a part arriving from a supplier for the production of the Dagger. While the sample batch we produced prior to mass production both tested well and met our criteria, as we went into full production our team discovered discrepancies in the part we received. That difference meant our standard was not being met. While we are working with that supplier to correct their issue we do not feel comfortable shipping the first batch until the corrections are made. Anyone who has purchased a Dagger will be offered the chance to hold their place in line and receive a free threaded barrel upgrade or receive a full refund. We apologize for the delay and we are grateful for your patience as we move forward. Palmetto State Armory American Made. For Life. |

Meanwhile, every other company keeps producing the same pistols and ARs over and over. Yea, many PSA developments have issues, but at least they are actually trying to get something new out to us.
Not justifying us being their Guinea Pigs, but they get bitched at just as much for taking so long to get a product to market as they do for releasing something with growing pains. |
