| DPMS LR308 carry handles are the correct height, but over hand the front of the receiver 1/8" doesn't look to bad, It's a real shame PSA couldn't of put the rail slots in the correct place as per Armalite, KAC or DPMS upper, but they just like to be different (difficult). |

Wish I'd found this thread before buying the Armalite handle I just got. Looking at the handle(upper is due in tomorrow) it looks like the problem is in the lug right behind the front cross bolt-maybe grinding that lug down will make it fit?
ETA-if someone could measure the slots in their upper I'd appreciate it. If I grind the lug off it looks like I need cross slots 6.25" apart to be able to use the handle I have. Upper just came in, the Armalite handle can be made to work. The lug behind the front crossbolt needs to be ground/milled off, and another notch cut in the rail on the upper. The above mentioned DPMS handle will fit as-is, but if you can only find the Armalite handle in stock it's an option if willing to do a bit of modification. |
