Just got a new PA10 gen2.  Over all very happy with the gun fit and finish are good so far no feeding problems.

Now the problem. When I pull the trigger the hammer drops but the trigger dose not reset if the trigger is held back

Pull trigger hammer drops trigger held back. Bolt goes back and forth. Release trigger pull trigger small click as trigger resets.  Release and pull trigger a second time and hammer falls.

Edit to add. I have to pull the trigger two times to fire the second shot.  Not sure the above was totally clear.

I'm guessing the above is not normal??  none of my 223 ARs do this.

That is correct.  The disconnect is holding the hammer until you release the trigger, the hammer then catches the sear as designed.  Your other ARs should work exactly the same unless you have select fire weapons and have the selector on the go setting.

It sounds like it could just be a stiff new trigger group maybe. Only reason I say that is I used a new PSA lower for a pistol build and my trigger was doing the same first time out at the range. When I cleaned it I made sure to do a drop of gun oil on all the trigger springs per the field guide. Second time with it on the range trigger worked properly. Reset after every shot.

I could be off on my assumption but it is what crossed my mind reading your post

No need per the advice above just oiled the hell out of it hand cycled a few times and all is well. Will shoot it this afternoon to make sure but I'm guessing it was a little dry and needed a little more brake in.

Edit to add thanks for responding so fast on the holiday weekend.
