I've got a Palmetto State Armory a dedicated 9mm billet Glock lower. I have been waiting for 7.5" uppers to come in stock for quite some time. I don't mind waiting, but now the uppers I've been watching have been removed from the inventory page entirely.

Lower description says "Must be used with PSA 9mm hybrid uppers". My question is, is there anything proprietary about the PSA lower that would make it not compatible with other branded uppers?

I understand the need for a BCG with the proper relief cuts to work with Glock mags, but there are other upper offerings capable of running Glock mags. Is there any reason why another branded upper would not work?

I have had some very good experiences with PSA in the past. For the first time now, I am getting very frustrated.

I'd really like to know this as well. I understand you're trying to sell your brand, but you don't currently offer what I'm looking for in an upper.  If I need to buy a bolt, I will buy wait and buy your bolt. I think we would all just like the straight truth on what is possible with this variant.

From what i understand about the PSA hybrid bolts is that they work with both the glock and the colt mag lowers.  perhaps that has something to do with the uppers stating this?

I could be wrong but I believe they've stated in previous threads that the lower in question should work with any 9mm upper as long as you use a bcg designed for Glock mags.

to me that logic makes sense, given that the hybrid bolts work with their colt and glock lowers.

I hope so guys. It's been months waiting for a 7.5" barreled upper to be in stock. And since they've now been removed from the inventory page entirely, it leads me to believe they won't be available for the foreseeable future.

I'll give it through one more set of weekend sales, and I'm trying a different branded upper. I will report back.

I finally got to shoot my build today.  Ran 100% perfect including LRBHO.  It's a PSA forged lower, Aero Precision non-forward assist upper receiver, and Spinta Precision barrel and bcg.

(Hello everyone, first post here)

I have a general question about pairing AR15 uppers to the PSA AR 9mm lower: does the gas tube hole on the upper need to be blocked off in some way? To my understanding and reading various threads on the topic, noone ever really says although I know that the BCG works on blowback alone.

Also, has anyone else tried paring one of these with the BFSIII?

No need to block the hole for the gas tube
