That's fine...just sell me the pictured model stainless for a killer price since it's the old design. Wes Quoted:

based on serial #s from the pics I have seen I would say you are right GCO. There are obviously two different models as well. I might have to hold out for a commander version though, if it has the beavertail (and hopefully ambi safety!) yea, i think there are actually a couple more models than just 2. not 100% sure on that though. surprised we havent seen it here yet. |

supposedly they were bieng manufactured in house, by PSA who had hired an 1911 armorer that used to work for one of the larger specialty 1911 makers. they were suppsoedly also to be released at the 2k price point and higher, as opposed to the 500 dollar market that i think they would be better suited for.
Truth be known, not much is known of them other than they announced them at shot,a nd they were supposed to be out this year, (summer) ive long thought black friday, but thus far no known announcements since the initial teaser at SHOT. seeing how its not black friday, and its not yet cyber monday... it could happen.. the amount of silence though, and the failures in the AR10 line, may have delayed these even more, so that theyre not failing in any respect upon the initial release of them. |

No offense to PSA intended but 2k will be a darn hard sale with PSA on the slide. If they put the manufacturers name on there with a "for" PSA marking elsewhere, like the frame, maybe, but when I see their name I think affordable quality, not fine hand fitted custom guns with a premium price.
But I wish them the best of luck either way as I liking seeing a company like PSA succeed. Wes |

PSA is known as the value leader, to come out at 2k 1911's is counter intuitive and counter productive to their image. If they can launch it at around the 500 pricepoint, it keeps them in the value leader class that theyve built their entire business upon. I also think that roll mark would have to go at a higher price as well. |

That may be also another business model. my feelings is they may thry to out taurus taurus.. offering a high optioned 1911, with low pricepoint. i'd like to see a full line up similar to a springfield lineup. start out with a basic GI style at 400ish, and then go up to a range officer, a operator, a professional, etc.. something tiered like that but maybe wth different psa names. tie it into something Palmetto ish. hell even go old school names, name one the moultrie, one the swamp fox, whatever.. (just kicking out ideas now) |

| I'm thinking vaporware. At this point, they have VERY little to gain by getting into 1911s. They're expensive to get in to and aside from a few devout customers, most will go with the known name and known quality of the current high end 1911s. On the low end, ATI and RIA dominate the market. It's just not the right time for them to release one. |

I know I can't be the only person who heard "PSA 1911" and thought "hey neat, a build-your-own 1911 kit!"
Getting it already assembled is nice and all, but the thought of customizing one from the ground up for a great price point... oh well, guess I'll just keep waiting. |

Each one has things that need to be fitted differently. Unfortunately they're not like ARs |

It's certainly possible to put out a kit of parts that the end consumer can put together, much like a AR. |

Wow.. This thread disappeared for awhile... What ended up happening to the two models they had planned and built quite a long time ago? They're gonna Re-introduce them... at the 2015 Shot Show! ![]() ![]() This. and again in 2016 |
| It just doesn't make any sense why they are so tight lipped about it. They technically introduced both models a year ago.. Then it just went away. Not sure why they won't even get minor updates on here which would make sense. I understand that you don't want to give release dates and etc but I would hope that a year later your "development process" would be okay by now haha. |

Oddly i havent heard much out of anyone about it either lately. I was mildly surprised when we didnt see or hear shit about it around Christmas. |
