Thanks My SS freedom dissy is very nice, but I have not had the time to shoot it. I think it is a great bargain. I got mine with the 30 off coupon a few weeks back. fit and finish seems as good as regular PSA stuff |

I bought a SS Freedom mid length rifle kit recently. It looks nice and is accurate. However, it is failing to chamber a round consistently. From what I can tell so far it is because the chamber is rough and possibly undersized.
I am going to contact PSA to send it back. Just haven't had a chance yet. Mine might be a fluke. I'm fairly confident PSA will take care of it once I contact them. |

Update: The PSA guy on here that I IM'd had a shipping label sent to me for return. It took me a few days to ship due to being busy with work, but they received it last Friday. I must have sent it on Wed., can't really remember.
I got a UPS shipping notice email and the repaired upper is supposed to be back here today. That means they must have shipped it around Wednesday as well. So, they turned it around in less than 3 business days. That's pretty damn fast service. I am impressed. Hopefully they fixed the problem I was having. Then I will really be impressed. I will update again when I shoot it and find out if it's fixed. |

The upper came a little while ago. There was a letter enclosed from the repair guy stating what he did to it. He said the chamber was tight and he ran a reamer through it and cleaned it up. The chamber definitely looks much better than it did before. He also said that he rechecked the head space and fired 30 rounds to function check it and it runs fine now.
It's raining so I will have to shoot it tomorrow. I'm pretty confident the problem is fixed. I have to say I am very pleased with how this was handled. The letter from the smith that worked on it was a nice touch. |
| Mine has been wonderful. Will shoot everything pretty good. Just about any premium factory load I put through it from 55-75 gn shot under 1 moa. My 55 gn vmax over 25 gn of varget from my rock river shoot about .6 moa at 100. I will tweak that load in the coming weeks and try to get it a little better. Overall I am very pleased |

Since the CSTech used a reamer to correct the rough and possibly undersize chamber,a few things come to mind. 1- The finish reamer was used beyond it's useable lifespan, thereby being undersize 2- The undersize finish reamer was ran at improper speed and no lube causing it to chatter 3-It missed the finish reamer step 4- That the Freedom uppers may be made offsite from PSA and don't get the same QC as in house items. Just some observations from a Machinist |

Just some observations from a Machinist I'm no machinist but I agree. Before I sent it in it looked like one of the first three in your list. Now the chamber looks really nice. After I shoot it I'll post another update. |
