Well, you should just stay with DPMS then.

I just had an issue with a hammer from a kit I paid next to nothing on. They sent me a return label and I asked them to politely send me the replacement parts first so I did not accidentally send away too many parts. I got what I paid for in the end, and the service was not that bad. Just take some pictures and show what and how you are unhappy and lets see where it goes.

I am very happy with my all PSA build now, and will post some photos soon in the sticky above,

Enjoy, hope that gets worked out for you.

Ground triggers don't even make sense.

I'm going to go ahead and assume you have no idea what you're talking about. This thread with the other one in GD have absolutely zero descriptions of wtf you're talking about and no pictures.

While I have received one trigger that by comparison to the other 3 I have is "bad" it is still just a milspec trigger. And wtf is ground down? Pics?

The engagement surfaces are always ground...I assume you mean that yours has not been polished smooth, but has machine marks in it, making it feel gritty.  I have a CMMG trigger with visible grind marks like that.  I bet PSA would swap it out for you.

Every one of the PSA fire control groups I have come across were polished nicely and had a good trigger pull.
Are you sure you got a PSA classic lower parts kit and not something else?
Also, you should contact PSA for replacement--they'll take care of ya fast.

I have installed 40+ PSA trigger groups and have not had to send one back or had a problem with one yet. Only thing I ever do to them is soak all the parts in degrease when I get them. They should really back off on the amount of grease on those parts. The lower should never have any type of lubricant in it all that does is attract dirt/grease.

I have received a "ground down" hammer (the trigger edge was nice, but the hammer notch had machine grooves in it), but not from PSA. IMHO, "mil spec" triggers are a gamble. Some are decent, some are not (even when from the same exact manufacturer). It's "mil spec", not a competition trigger. They're made to work, and that's it.

I have PSA LPK and PTAC LPK side by side and I could not tell much difference except PSA came in with a carton box. I had DPMS and RRA before and I stoned the trigger faces anyway. Unless you buy match trigger, you will need to do some work yourself on mil spec, nothing unusual.

Sometimes I stone the surfaces, sometimes 800,1000,1500 or 2000 grit paper.

If you are unhappy with your fire control group, please send me a message with your order number and a brief description of the issue and we'll have the group swapped out for you.

My PSA premium LPK was glass smooth on the trigger. If something came through rough, it's probably an exception.
