its a budget line that is supposedly made only for PSA or rather PSA is the only retailer of their line. Its supposed to stand for Practical Tactical from what weve been told. Little research has yeilded that they are a company formed in Columbia, SC  mid last year as an LLC... not much else is known publicly..

Its a shell company PSA is using to market its low end, questionable quality parts.

id debate the "questionable" part of that statement. sure theyve had bumps to start, but they have / will continue to get better and be good to go.

PSA considers them to be lesser quality than their standard parts or they wouldn't be selling them under a different name. That sounds...questionable.

My next build will probably use PTAC parts. I'm not slamming them, I'm just calling a spade, a spade.

i'd call it what it is then. budget line. not a questionable. however, the budget line has had its issues with its first couple months launch.

Did their recent warehouse moving sale have anything to do with them needing room to set up for manufacture or assemble of  PTAC parts?

I don't think so, I think they are just expanding the business.  They now have 4 retail stores and are looking to add more.  They needed a bigger warehouse in a cheaper (tax wise) area.

They need a store in the Houston area, preferably on the south side.

this is my understanding too.. that and theyve grown the business so large they needed a bigger facility as well just to store stuff in.

I recently bought a PTAC 16" upper for a build and the upper I received is very nice. The anodized coating is even all over and the BCG is staked. Those are two of the biggest complaints that I have heard against the PTAC. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. Only complaint is that the BCG doesn't seem to be chrome lined. So far I am very happy with the purchase. As long as the accuracy is as good as I have heard then  it's gtg

After the recent thread in GD, I am not sold on the PTAC line. I may try one out in the far off future for a really cheap budget build.

Not that PSA cares, though, since it means they just get more of my money for their premium name brand uppers.

It did clean up really well actually... I'm counting down the days until I can take it to a range or find someone who will let me shoot on their land while I'm in school. How is yours on accuracy?
