In another thread you posted in what I assume was a response to a photo I posted in another thread.
"Please bear in mind that the premium BCGs are shipped dry for neat packaging. A quick wipe down of CLP should restore the luster of the phosphate coating."

And since my IM and email has gone unanswered I'll post this again. Is this what passes as 'New'?? We are not talking about a dull finish we're talking about MISSING finish.

Edit by PSA:  Thank you for your inquiry.  I was the one who responded to your initial post in another thread and your IM shortly after.  I have explained that BCG's are sometimes pulled and tested.  Those wear marks are normal on BCG's that have been fired.  Again, If you are unhappy with your BCG, we would be happy to exchange it.

In for the real answer. Hopefully you wont get too many of the, "you got a great deal on it, just be happy and stop acting like PSA owes you something" crowd.

Ah, that'll buff right out.

Wonder how many test fires that was? Maybe that was the one used to test all the uppers.

Well I got an answer at least. FWIW here it is:

"Thank you for your inquiry.   We ship the BCG's dry for packaging
reasons.  As such, the phosphate finish will look horrible until it gets
some oil - we recommend CLP.  As to the wear marks, we do spot check
BCG's for function.  The wear marks are normal, but if you wish, we can
exchange your BCG for one that has not been spot tested.
"

Not sure how one can figure that those wear marks are normal. I have Spikes and BCM BCG's that have 1000 rnds on them and they show less wear but whatever. Thanks for the reply.

That BCG looks as bad as the one received with a premium rifle kit; It was completely dry/dull as well.  PSA claimed the upper was test fired.  They did exchange the BCG.  But, to answer the question...Yep looks normal.

Decide for yourself.

PSA Premium...rnd count is 0 aside from 'spot check'

BCM rnd count approx 500

Spikes round count approx 1000

PSA M16 rnd count 0 spot checked????

Crap cell phone pics don't show it the best but the roughest BCG BY FAR is the PSA Premium with a 0 rnd count.

Im with the op mine showed up like this once before although not nearly as bad.  I thought it was from banging around in the cardboard tubes they are shipped in. I want to know if these are test fired before shipping. Cause mine also had wear on the bolt face in a circle aprox the size of a primer. If they are fired what's the standard test protocol.

Not on my dime. If PSA sends me a return shipping it'll go back. I paid shipping on this once already. Frankly I'm more worried about my complete upper thats apparently gone missing now.
