all PSA stocks are loose to my knowledge. Tehy do not come with boxes or bags. They usually look about like yours does. In the stores theyre just stacked in a bin loose like that.
i'd oil it up see if it looks any better, (light oiled/cleaned) and if you still are unhappy then say something. However, my thoughts are its a stock, its gonna get beat up eventually. |

You could have paid the extra money for a Magpul stock and had one that's pretty. Honestly I was expecting it to look like it had been drug over rocks for a few miles...not some slight blemishes. Why in the heck would I pay for a new stock that has been drug over rocks? It's not just slight blemishes. It looks bad. I take care of my stuff and take pride in that. I have a buddy that has a stock that he has for 12 years and yes it made it to iraq and back and this one looks worse. It was a new stock or so I believed. I think they should disclaim it if that's the way it is. I'm not unhappy with psa. If you would have read my entire post you would have seen I have bought three MAGPUL kits from them........ Hope psa will respond when they get there site back up. |

My $.02 the PSA stocks are only $30. If you want a nicer stock just order up a Magpul MOE or ACS-L. All just depends on how much money you want to spend and how nice a stock you want. I am very happy with my ACS-L stock. That being said you can't expect too much out of a $30 stock....just saying. |

I expected it to look the way it does minus the scratches etc. I for sure would not have purchased the kit had I known the stock was going to look like it did. I have a ACS, MOE, CTR, and STR I am happy with all of them. I bought this to build a dedicated 22lr. I know it's a 30$ stock but it's still 30$ of someones hard earned money. |

Seriously, dude... it's plastic. I have five of them - three from S&W and 2 from PSA. They all look like that. +1 i know you like your stuff to look good and all dude, but it is a wear part. it gives the rifle character.. and unless you want a safe queen, it doesnt cause any issues with functionality. |

Every "standard" 6 position stock are basically crap and rattle and make noise. I had a pre ban pwa rifle with a retractable stock from 94 and guess what it was a piece of shit. In my opinion if you are buying the standard stocks, grips, you shouldn't expect the greatest manufacturing possible, that is why accessory companies exist like magpul, vltor, etc....
I don't stare at anything plastic with much hope of an aesthetic appeal. |

I could send a rifle to Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and keep it looking nice, then drop it in my backyard and say "this rifle has seen action"
If you're worried about 30 'hard earned' dollars I'd suggest buying something locally so you can inspect it instead of buying a $90 lower build kit. You paid for a $60 lower parts kit and stock and it came with a free buffer tub, buffer, and spring. You got what you paid for, discounted parts. If you have so many magpul parts why didn't you opt for the $130 build kit with magpul stock? Sell the stock for $30 and replace it and move on. No one here really thinks those marks are a big deal. Take pride and either fine sand them out or cough up $30 that you worked hard to earn and buy a new magpul stock. |

Mine will look just like yours after a couple outings. |

I thought that is what forums like these are for? He bought a "new" product and was expecting a new product. Everyboody knows the functionality of a stock and that is is going to get beat up but not from the manufactorer to the consumer. I would want to be the one to put any scratches on it. I guess there is always a douche chiming in, he was exaggerating with the comparison to his buddy 's stock that went to Iraq. Your comments are a bit unnecessary. |

My question is, if it made it to Iraq and back and still looked like new, and even better than the one pictured above, was his friend a desk jockey in Iraq? I've been over twice as an Infantryman, and not one of my stocks looked anywhere near to new by the time I was done with them. (There again, nothing rattling around atop a humvee's turret or in a hidesite for a few days looks new) But in all seriousness, no new stock should have those blemishes. I think if the light oiling doesn't work, then PSA should be contacted regarding this. |

Christ dude do you have brain damage? it was a simile, a comparison, an exageration; let me spell it out for you " the stock that his friend has who served, is in better shape than the one he received from PSA" haha get it he wasn't being literal. Did I lose you or do I need to break out the crayons? Bro, you are way too uptight. It's like playing cards with my brothers kids! |

Just reading the thread and thought that Mr. Seal Team Six was hung up on the wrong point and I wasn't using ALL CAPS and hateful to berate someone for a simple question.

| I dont see any problem with the stock you have pictured, but I am sure PSA will do what they can to make you happy. Question is, can you be happy with anything (besides the price) that PSA has to offer? Maybe you should pay extra for the MagPul stock??? Or maybe you should just look elsewhere? |

I just asked a question. If I recieved that stock in like new shape. I would not have said a word. I did buy magpul on my other three kits I bought from PSA. If I sent out products looking like this I would probably have some unruly customers. It doesn't disclaim on the site this is the state they come in. |
