| Anybody know what's up with PSA? I CANNOT get ahold of them either by email or by phone. Over the past 2 weeks I 've sent several emails and tried calling them many times. NO reply to any emails and no one will answer the phone. Ironically the phone message recommends sending them an email! I was considering buying parts from them to build an AR, but now I'm not sure about their service!! |

We are about 2 days behind on e-mails. We are getting about 700 e-mails per day and this has stretched our CS employees. We should be caught up by the weekend and operations should be back to normal over the next few days.
What did you need? Quoted:

Lets look at what 700 emails a day takes to handle: If you figure that the average email question/request takes only 5 minutes to service (and this is estimating on the low end)... 700 * 5 / 60 = ~60 hours of email service required PER DAY. Figure every employee is kicking ass and working 10 hour days: 6 employees on the payroll doing literally NOTHING but answering emails 10 hours a day, every day of the week, and that is just to KEEP UP, if the volume goes up from that estimate, they fall behind. Hell, in my opinion PSA has handled the rapid expansion of their business better than any other small business I have ever dealt with, the kind of order volume increase they have seen over the last year or so would have broken many businesses completely. PSA: You have filled FIVE orders for me this year alone, including two full AR builds. I've spent easily over $2000 with you in 2011 and not only has every order been processed fast and correct...the times I have chosen to email you, I've gotten a response in 24 hours (and that was during the initial $49.99 lower *madness* earlier this year). |
| I apologize for the delay, but we are so busy answering emails that sometimes if one bounces back, we do not even notice. That is probably what happened unless your email went to the spam folder (it does happen, even with settings designed to prevent it), because we are answering every email that requires a reply in the order we receive them. The only exception to that is when some CS employees work from opposite sides of the inbox to eliminate double-replies. |

Almost the same exact thing happened to me, and our dates are similar. After my second email I was contacted via email and told this: " per our website we have a 10-15 business day lead time on uppers" I said that I didn't order an upper, but a barrel which was in stock. Two days later they contacted me and said that there shouldn't have been a delay and asked for my information and that he would help me. I haven't heard back from them, this was the 7th, but my order has been shipped now. I ordered it on 11/25. I ordered everything else for my upper from other places after I ordered my barrel, and I have received everything, including things that I ordered as recent as 12/5!
It's sitting in N. Carolina, probably awaiting a train, but at least I know it's shipped now. Looking forward to getting it, and I'll reserve my right to make a final decision on Palmetto, but my first experience wasn't great. |
| If I were you I'd wait it out and have a little patience, the quality of their product is outstanding. I just finished with my first build using all parts from PSA and the little rifle ROCKS!!. I'd say it's right up their with my Colts and is my new go to rifle when we head out to shoot. |
