| Placed an order got an email with a tracking number and delivery date of today. No package today but UPS was here with other things. Went to UPS site and ran track number but it said the shipping label was ready and when the package was received that status would be updated. Do you only ship out weekly? |

Hey Mike,
I'm in the same boat as you and I emailed them a few weeks ago. As I understand it, their process is as follows: 1. take order 2. print way-bill (trigging the email from UPS quantum view with tracking number) 3. build upper (or whatever you ordered) 4. slap way bill on the box and ship it. If I had to guess, the reason they haven't shipped it is because they are still building it. Wait until seven full business days since the date of order, then ping them if there is still no progress on the tracking. |

I'm in the same boat also. I ordered a mid-length dissipator upper on the 30th of September. I got the tracking e-mail on October 3rd, but as of yet, the upper has not shipped. Tuesday should be seven business days though. I was spoiled by the first upper I ordered from PSA, I had it three days after I placed the order. That was right after they started offering the 20" uppers though, so it might have already been built.

Me too, I hope this wont be a delton type experience where its 3 months to get what ya ordered. I highly doubt that will end up being the case. Good, because I was unaware of the business model of pre paying for an item and then waiting 2-3 weeks was in practice at Palmetto. If I understood this I would have purchased else where. I hope works out its been two weeks already for me. |

If you order from PSA DO NOT expect fast shipping it just isnt happening. I have ordered from them 3 times and never even received any shipping notice. With that said i will still order from them but i do not expect my order to be within a descent time frame.
2 weeks for a lower parts kit from them or 3 days from most others. Im not trying to sound negative but its just a fact that they are slow. The prices should keep you coming back if you dont mind the wait. I ordered an upper 2 weeks ago and dont expect it here for another week. PK firearms was a 3-4 day wait . It is what it is and i will continue to shop there. |
| Hmm, I don't think I have waited longer than 3 business days for either one of my 2 orders, but now I haven't ordered my upper yet, so I guess I haven't ordered anything that they had to "build". I placed my last order wednesday late afternoon, and it was on the front porch this afternoon when I got home from work. |

We ask for 7 business days on uppers to allow for shifts in demand and production capacity. This is an average. Some go out immediately, some have to wait for the next production batch. If we have an upper ready to ship, it will go out. The dissipator uppers require a bit more care and expertise, and take the longest to produce. We are all gun nuts here, and enjoy supplying you with quality products. Production has increased and you should start to see the average time to ship drop accordingly.
As for shipping, a label is generated as soon as the order is processed. Our pricing model depends on an automated system, such as UPS worldship, to keep customers informed of the progress. Unfortunately, it is not 100% reliable with all email addresses. UPS estimates a delivery date based on the creation date and destination and assumes the package will be shipped immediately. If your upper is still in production, this information is incorrect. As soon as UPS scans it, the delivery estimate recalculates based on the new information. |

Prob cuz your in the same state as them. 2 weeks on a LPK was the fastest ive gotten anything from them. |

Here are my experiences with PSA...
First, I ordered a lower during their Labor day sale. As we all know they were pretty swamped at this time. Within a week, I hadn't received any shipping info. I sent an email confirming my FFL and asking for tracking info (im a noob and had never ordered a lower online)... I finally got a response from their customer service, and a tracking number two weeks later... the same day the lower was received at my FFL Second was a LPK ordered on 10/4, I just received this today... no shipping info received. 10/9 I order an upper, I have the UPS email stating a slip has been generated... All in all, whatever the reason is... PSA has a bit of a bottleneck in the shipping department. It could be email errors with the UPS system, it could be high volume orders.... it could be any number of things. I think its growing pains. For the last two months I have read all I can on building my first AR and from what I've gathered, PSA is relatively new to scene. At least on a large scale. Similar to what has already been said, PSA gives the best prices a noob has seen, so I can sit the extra week or so to get my items. I'm sure this will improve with PSA getting bigger & better at what they do. |
