FREE Discreet Rifle Case & PMAG
With purchase of any LE6920. June 1-August 31. |

They'll probably ship those cases in about 2 years ... if ever. It took forever to receive my Colt promotional jackets from several years ago. I think they just hope people will forget or get tired of sending email inquiries.
NOT A COLT HATER. Just keep'n it for realz. |
|
GREAT, I'm submitting one next week on the same model. Also a Mexican 6920. I expected to be denied on the Mexican 6920 but not the SOCOM.

I sent my info in for this rebate on my new 6920 SOCOM and got a postcard back saying this model is not supported... WTF Colt? It's still a 6920 dammit! |
|
I agree. Let me know what they say. I plan to submit mine Tuesday. Hopefully it's just a snafu, them thinking it's an older SOCOM and not knowing about the recent release of the 200 new units. Earl

I'm calling them Monday to bitch, it says right on the poster ANY model of 6920. |

I called Colt today, all they did was give me the phone number of the 3rd party company that is handling the rebates. It was very obvious that they had idea about the situation or anything about guns in general. They literally go off of UPC, model number, and serial number. It's completely black- and white to them and basically told me to fuck off, I didn't qualify. They said they'd give me call in a few days after they check into it but I suspect that was just to get me off the line.
Pricks. |
|
Nah, they don't even know or care. I put it in for both my Mexican 6920 and the Socom 6920. Both were declined. "THE UPC BARCODE SUBMITTED IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS OFFER"
There is a ? to click on the rebate site to enter comments, request support. But it doesn't work. Their Captcha authentication is all messed up. No matter what you try to do there is a "ERROR for site owner: Invalid domain for site key" error message. I guess you could call and complain but I already know they aren't going to do anything so won't bother. Earl Quoted:
I went ahead and put in for this on the SOCOM knowing what the results will be. Maybe they'll get tired of people b*tching. |

I got a voicemail from the 3rd party today. They said that Colt got back to them and greenlight-ed my rebate. Don't know if this effects any other submissions past or future. I would call them up and ask if you want this rebate with a SOCOM. |
|
Quoted:
I submitted mine last week and haven't heard anything. I'm kind of hoping you guys blazed the trail for the rest of us. |

Quoted:
Called Thursday and talked to "Amy." She was supposed to get back with me but I haven't heard anything yet. Would be interested to know if NE_Guardman saw his online check of rebate status change after they cleared it. "THE UPC BARCODE SUBMITTED IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS OFFER. THE SERIAL NUMBER PROVIDED INDICATES THE COLT MODEL PURCHASED IS NOT VALID FOR THIS OFFER." I'm really not that confident I'll be getting it. |
| FWIW, I used the need support link on the rebate status page ON MY PHONE to send a message in regards to my rebate denial. I got an email back a few minutes ago that said my request is now VALID for fulfillment, please wait 6-8 weeks for delivery of your items!! |

An update for the SOCOM guys. From my experience front-to-back, I don't think Colt "approved" the SOCOMs for the rebate exactly. Given the speculation on the serial numbers (maybe there wasn't a definitive range and it was a true parts grab cleanup run), maybe the couldn't add an approval to the 3rd party rebate place based on a specific range. I'm giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, and I'll assume that's the case. Anyway, mine was rejected initially. I pursued it more as I found out through this thread others were getting approved. I got the 3rd party number for the rebate place (1-844-456-2658) and started there. Over three weeks ago, I called to ask about the rejection and explained other SOCOMs were being approved. I got the "let me check, and I'll call you back today or tomorrow" response. I called back at after a week, and was told they were still waiting on a reply from Colt. Going on 3 weeks, I'd heard nothing. So, I used the "need help" email link at the bottom of the rebate place to send the a 2nd inquiry. 2 days later, they replied saying it was still awaiting an answer from Colt. At this point, I reached out to Colt via Facebook. I got an IM from them a couple days later. They looked it up, approved it, and thanked me for the purchase. Shortly after, the customer service rep from the rebate place replied. They basically said that the SOCOMs were still not approved, but that Colt OK'ed my particular request as Customer Satisfaction.
So there you go. That's my experience. My rebate just went to fulfilled, so hopefully it's in the mail, and they can't pull it back after I've put the secret sauce recipe out on ar15.com. |

Still nothing here.. Maybe it will show up one day. ![]() |

Have you called Colt? Supposedly if you call and complain that you were denied as being "a rifle not covered under the promotion" they will contact the fulfillment company and give them your name as ok to ship. |

Quoted:
Just re-checked and mine shows "In Process" dated 11/01/2017. |
