Has anyone on here used  US Anodizing for any receivers, parts or completes?  I have a PD trade in SP1 that I would love to have refinished.

Nodak Spud uses them for their receivers and a few guys in the Retro forum have used them also for 80% lowers. You might want to post there and ask.

When the old anodizing is removed and your lower is reanodized the tolerances will open up. I had a lower reanodized and the trigger/hammer pins opened up. My receiver was still usable but it definitely wasn't the same.

Good luck,

From their Web Site   - Lower receiver (Re-Anodizing an old receiver) Removing minor imperfections, and adding extra film thickness if needed is included in the price

Thanks.  Removing minor imperfections would be nice.  The PD that originally had this rifle, engraved some numbers in for some reason.  Probably for their own identification but they did a horrible job... Plus they never cleaned the damn thing

You would be better off selling it and buying an SP1 in better condition.

Victor refinished my colt m16 lower. It is perfect. No dimensional changes. He has the process down to a science and builds up anodizing to ensure pin hole dimensions don't open up. He sent me photos of my lower with pin gauges showing dimensional perfection.

I used US Anodizing on a Colt Govt carbine upper and lower.  I was very happy with the work.
