At least two to three months if your lucky; I had a 6940P upper that the retaining screw for the steel piece (for the colt cam to ride on) in the upper receiver took 10 weeks to get back.  They didn't even replace the screw.  Colt simply just sent a new complete upper and it took them that long.

Wow! Well,in a way you were lucky,at least they did it right. They sent you a new upper.I won't mention the company, but I had a 44 mag that had the front sight  fell off. I shipped it back to the co. for repairs and it took them 7 months to replace the front sight and reblue the gun.I almost forgot about it when I came home from work and  the screen door was ajar and a box was lying between the screen door and the front door with my gun in the box.
