| So apparently they decided to produce more than 1500 of these? Anyone want to share some insight? |

Quoted:
The SOCOM II's were a 2012 distributor exclusive of 1500 guns. I have one NIB as well. They are pretty cool rifles. Walmart must have found a bunch of socomII in their warehouses, I have seen about a dozen in the last couple of months at the local walmarts. Unless of course they keep moving the same 3 to different walmarts right before I go to them. I agree, awesome rifles, but not exclusive and collectable. |

In 2012 the SOCOM II's were a run of 1500 that were a distributor exclusive. A "distributor exclusive" simply means that Colt sold the guns to one distributor in that year. There were more built in 2013. WalMart also purchases their Colts through distribution. |
