Colt Model 6920 M4 Carbine w/ 16" Barrel and Rogers Super Stock

Colt Model LE6920 SOCOM 16.1" Carbine w/ Knights Armament Quad Rail & Flip Up Rear Sight

Colt Model LE6920MP Law Enforcement Carbine with Magpul MOE Furniture - Black

Gotten too old to make decisions need some help. Colt because I want a Colt. I'm leaning towards the Socom because of the rail. Am I correct in assuming the only thing that separates them is the furniture?
Rear sight on Socom different (better)?
Thanks
Please don't be too hard on me as I've grown older I tend to cry easier.

Sir, I am not young either.

I bought the SOCOM because of the barrel profile being heavier than the other 6920s, but the heavier profile does not translate into a big weight difference.  It does have the KAC rail, which is nice, but the barrel is what sold me.  Now, what sold me on the particular one I bought over the other SOCOMs I have seen was the quality of construction.  Mine is a good rifle.

Other than those differences, it seems to me to come down to furniture.

I'm also kind of an older guy, had been a Colt AR owner for 42 years now, how time flies.

I've got two 6920 one with the Rogers SuperStoc the older one with the standard M4 buttstock, but now i had changed the SuperStoc with the M4 stock and the one with the M4 stock I upgraded with a Magpul STR (FDE color) stock.

The three models that you mentioned are the same ones at my local Walmart store, the SOCOM model have a heavier than the standard model LE6920 government profile barrel (lightweight under the handguards) but thinner than the Colt HBAR heavy barrel from the model 6721.

What furniture do you prefer, the model LE6920 basic model have the oval shaped M4 handguards, Magpul folding rear sight and Rogers stock, my local gun shop same latest model from the factory does not have the Rogers stock anymore, they just have the standard USGI M4 buttstock.

The SOCOM model have the Knight's Armament Co. (KAC) M4 RAS carbine rail system which are issued to the US military, medium/ heavy profile barrel, USGI Matech folding rear sight, and M4 buttstock.

Some guys don't like the Matech folding rear sight because of the small aperture hole size, some like it because it is the USGI issued sight.

The Magpul MOE model have the MOE handguard, MOE enhanced trigger guard, MOE grip, Magpul folding rear sight, and MOE buttstock.

I converted my LMT M4 style 16" barrel carbine to black MOE furniture and it handles pretty good, slightly lighter than my LE6920 which I installed a KAC M4 RAS rail system, if you don't want a rail handguard this is the one to get, but you could install short polymer MOE rails to attach your light (or laser, etc.).

The LE6920 with Rogers stock and the Magpul version have the "M4 Carbine" rollmarks, the LE6920 have the "M4A1 Carbine" rollmark.
