I was wondering what the opinion of the hive is on Colt Competition Rifles is? They seem to have quite a few upgrades at a reasonable price. Are the considered "real" Colts or lesser like the 6900?

Love mine. Changed the barrel for a Naveske just because I wanted a SS barrel. They are very nice rifles right out of the box. For the price you will not find another that has all the nice upgrades.

I saw a lower priced model Competition Rifle CSR-1516 which is similar to the old LE6900 Light Carbine except the new version have an upgraded longer FF vented handguard, Hogue grip and the M4 stock with QD swivel now have a large Colt logo.

This noted Competition rifle are marked with the same as other models from Hartford with the circled horsey, Colt stylized word logo beside it, and "SPORTING", marked on the left side of the lower receiver above the hammer and trigger pins the same Colt's Mfg. Co. LLC Hartford, CONN. --USA--.

On the right side above the FCG pins it's marked "Licensed Product of NCHC B/I TEXAS" (except the letter X in Texas is a five pointed star symbol).
