I purchased a bolt reported to be a Colt in a "C" marked carrier.
It is marked MPE, I hadn't heard of this before just MP or MPC. Anyone else familiar with this marking? |

I've seen it discussed here before in the past, some Colt older bolts have MP then followed by a letter date code, when they ran out of letters they went back to just MPC.
Here are some other Colt bolt marking variations: C MPXC (X is month letter code) ground down MPC then engraved with large C over it MPD (Colt Canada - Diemaco) MPF or with underlined letter F are made by FN. |
