Does anyone out there know if Colt plans to offer their rail gun in 9mm?  Thanks

On a scale of 1-10   1 being  not likely and 10 being likely

I will say.   There is not a fucking chance in hell.  I am surprised you even asked the question.

who would even want that

Colt's been known for small runs of all kinds of configurations, and as I recall it has been a while since they made a 5" 9mm.

I wouldn't bank on it happening, though. If that's really what you want I'm sure the Colt Custom Shop could hook you up.

I've seen about 3-4 over the last 2 months at LGSs.  Apparently the latest Talo Exclusive, which is pretty cool.  I never saw any of the recent Talo Exclusives out in the wild..  Concealed Carry Gov't, W.C. Commander or Gov't...   Best of luck in finding what your looking for.

You could buy the talo limited edition or an older series 70 or 80 and add a Dawson rail or the no gun smithing sure fire adaptor

How do those SF adaptors hold up? I have been interested in them but I think they are aluminum. I think they replace the pin that goes through the barrel link. Seems like it would get beat up quickly.

Considering the slide catch is still steel I imagine just fine.

I still have one of the MR07 adapters... Sitting in a drawer. The light sits way lower than it than it would on a railed frame or Dawson adapter.

Still a good option, and Safariland makes duty and drop leg holsters for the MR07/X200 combo(should fit the x300 as well). I'm probably going to do this since I love my ORM 1991A1 and don't really have a desire to upgrade to a newer 1911.

Be advised: It will leave scuff marks in the finish, primarily along the dust cover. I can show you what marks it left where, on my Combat Elite's frame.

Not worried about it on my 1991.. it's a duty/fighting gun first. The above pic still has a lot more finish left on it than it does presently

Novak  makes a rail that goes on 1911s that is picatinny and is very nice.   It has to be drilled for it, but it gives you a way to mount a light and it looks good.

can get it in aluminum or carbon steel and stainless steel

I almost did this instead of buying my rail gun, but wanted the  factory colt rail gun

I am going to send a blued XSE to Novak and have one put on though
