| I just got in a new Colt ambidextrious safety for my LE6920. It came with a small allen head bolt with thread lock on it. It's not the small screw that holds the two pieces of the selector switch together, that screw is already installed and much smaller. I have no idea what this bolt/screw is for. I know how to install a selector switch but I'm holding off until I get this figured out. Help please. |
| I ordered a couple of those from SAW for my rifles. If you look at both of the screws it appears that the thread length is the same. I assumed that either screw could be used, the only diffence being the head. I went with the lower profile screw that came already inserted. |

Haven't seen one yet, but is the head diameter large enough to contain the left side selector in the receiver? Perhaps it would allow removal of the right side selector and retention of the left side without major disassembly in the field. Just a SSWAG. That's an idea. |

the KAC ambi safety is a very nivce alternative if you got to have a ambi, and cant find a colt one
I think the KAC may be a better choice actually. It comes with the right side scalloped and shorter or a full size. Or a a head to make it single sided. No question about the quality of KAC either. Its what I use in mine |
