Don't do it!!! AR-15 + piston is bad news. Google images of "piston carrier tilt". All of the companies that say they have fixed piston carrier tilt, including Colt, lie. Wrong and wrong. My LWRC M6A2 has thousands of rounds through it and has yet to experience any sort of malfunction. Any. Zero signs of carrier tilt. Can't say the same for other companies' after market drop in kits, however, but in the world of piston ARs, LWRC is King, so, take it how you will. |

Your logic and debate skills suck. If my one example isn't enough proof, one naysayer quoted isn't sufficient proof of the opposite then either. sorry Mr spock, wasnt trying out for the HS debate team, I was going buy countless articles I have read all over the net, not insulting your personal gun which i am sure is flawless dont get buttshurt over it if you wan to pound your chest over how awesome piston is, go in the piston forum where it belongs,so OP thread isnt ruined by piston lover debates |

I wasnt trying to start a argument. Just wanted to know if anyone had done this. I am considering one to possibly smooth what little recoil the 223 has, Maybe I will just look into an aftermarket upper. why not get a nice muzzle brake adn do the same adn save a shit ton of cash? |

I have to second this. The BattleComp's are freakin' awesome too. |

I have a flaming hog on it now. Just curious and was kicking it around. May still do it. |

From what I understand, piston systems kick more because of more moving parts... Is that my misconception? |

Anyone who complains about recoil from any AR platform is a puss and needs to man up... Anyone who presumes to know what a weapon is being used for is a IDIOT. Transitioning from target to target on the clock means ANY reduction in muzzle flip will help a dot track better. Why do IDIOTS ASSUME things they have not one whit of info on. Thanks for showing us all your a IDIOT! |

If you want to reduce muzzle flip as much as possible, I strongly suggest a battle comp (which I mentioned in my previous post.) |

If I say anyone who is willing to kiss your wife is a brave man would you take it as a joke or insult? You have no way to judge context but can only go by what is written. Yes? Dont backpeddle. It was a simple question and you made a smart ass comment. |

I had a simple question that got stomped all over by a couple of adam henries. And now they act like they dont know why it went to shit. |

Dude! Let it go...
My post was a joke and actually more directed at Plissken (the post above my joking post) who came in and started trolling the thread. I posted the comment very quickly and didn't take the time to quote him or add my usual You need to get over it though man. Life is too short to have such a strong emotional reaction to posts on the internet. And I'll say for the third time.. Battle Comp. Don't put a piston conversion kit in your Colt. If you want to run it as smooth as possible, the battle comp will do it, a conversion kit will not. http://battlecomp.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=19&zenid=b1vbttljp5k4g5b21g65t5cr41 Oh and there was no back peddling. When I make mistakes, I own it and have done so on several occasions here in the Colt forum. This is not one of those times... |
