I was hoping to talk to a Colt rep, don't know if this is the right place. I am looking for a Colt Rail Gun (O1980RG). My dealer has looked everywhere, and so far all that he came up with was that a distributor told him that Colt hasn't shipped anything yet this year and they are behind on production. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know when these guns might ship? I will call Colt tomorrow. If anyone has any other suggestions, let me know.

Just doing a quick Google search I've found this.

They`re definitely not easy to find. But they are worth it IMHO. Give Colt a call. They should know which distributers are likely to have them.

My dealer is a personal friend, and I don't think he would blow me off. I should clarify that I am wanting the 2011 model with the commerative rollmark on the slide. The one at gunsamerica is last years model. The other difference between the two is that the 2011 model has rosewood grips, not the black grips that are pictured. Thanks for the search though. I did call Colt today, but the customer service rep was not very helpful. All he could tell me was that it is in production. He said he does not receive information as far as when a certain firearm ships or when it is supposed to ship. Unless anyone has any other info, the only thing I can do is place my order with several distributors and wait to see who gets one first.

Have your dealer contact Lew Horton, that is where my dealer got mine. Horton is the largest Colt Distributor. Good luck!

I checked Lew Horton's website, they are out of stock as well. Does anybody have an email address for Colt or a Colt rep? Do the Colt reps ever visit AR15.com?

Must've just sold out, cause I don't see a 2011 O1980RG at Buds. They have a O1970RG that is stainless, the 1980 is black. They also show to have once carried the 2010 O1980RG, but it is no longer in stock. The 2011 model has the '100 years in service' rollmark, the 2010 model does not. Thanks for checking though.

I have been all over the Colt website- there is not one single email address listed. Please guys, I am trying to get some inside information here. I can do a Google search just like anyone else. I have travelled the normal channels and done my preliminary checks.
