Besides being different calibers, i have a buddy of mine selling a Colt 635 9mm upper and a commando 11.5 5.56 upper with an A1 receiver. If in the same condition, which would bring more money. Not asking price, just looking to see which one would bring more.

The 9mm upper is worth more if you ask me. They are harder to find and more people want them.

I have to disagree with this. Perhaps this is true against a current production LE6933 upper, but the 11.5" upper on an A1 receiver is very valuable and there are a lot of buyers out there in the market for these types of retro uppers. Of course if the barrel and upper are not assembled by Colt and have been mated outside the factory, then this isn't worth as much, but factory 11.5" barreled A1 uppers are very hard to find these days. Also the fact that it's 5.56mm means you don't have to have a 9mm magwell bock, so it will apply to more applications.

Of course in the end it just depends on the buyer and what's worth more to him or her. For me it's 5.56mm 11.5" A1 all the way...

Sweet. thanks

Basically im buying the rifle, keeping the lower and ditching the upper. Basically getting a free lower from what i have seen the uppers going for.
