How do you tell if you have a US made Colt or a Canadian? Here is the markings... It also has the M4 above the gas tube.

Colt USA.
Hybrid rifles have a Colt USA lower with a D symbol on the upper near the C. Colt Canada rifles say Colt Canada on the lower. D on the upper and bolt carrier. My S/N on my Canadian Colt says LEC........ My S/N on my Colt USA gun says LE........ Both are 6920's. My Colt Canada gun is the nicest Colt AR ever. |

It also has the M4 above the gas tube. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt145/MJC345/IMG_0617.jpg The upper in the picture above is my Colt 6721 with the stylized D (Diemaco) forge marking, the marking to the right of it is the actual forging factory which looks like a splintered letter A which stands for Anchor-Harvey forging. I also have a new 6721 upper exactly the same as yours with a letter C which is a US made Colt, the marking to the right of it is the keyhole symbol which is from Cerro Metal forge, my carbine was made in 5/ 09. |
