I just ordered my first Colt to add to my AR collection (LE6290). When I was poking around doing research, I stumbled on a few pics where the rollmark on the LE6920 was colored white. In fact, one such picture is in the thread about Current Production Colt Quality.

My question is, when were the rifles with the white rollmarks produced? No offense to those who have them but I don't like that. I much prefer the no color rollmark.

Thanks for the enlightenment fellas.

The rollmarks have been colored by the owner, not Colt.

Colt does not fill in the roll mars with color, as others have said. Some use crayon, others paint.

Personally I don't like it, and prefer to leave it as is.

No stupid questions, just stupid answers.
