So I spend most of my time on arfcom with you guys, so I figure this is a good place to post this thread.

Some of you may have noticed (or not) that I have not been posting as much the past week. This is because my Wife and I had our first child on Monday early morning at 2AM. We have had our hands completely full with this little guy and I haven't had a lot of time to be on the intarwebz.

He will definitely be a Colt owner and in fact I'm looking into a new purchase for the little man to keep in the safe until he's old enough. I'm thinking a 6920 or 6940. What you guys think?

Anyway here are some pictures of the little devil!

ETA: Forgot to mention, his name is Charlie.

I'm honored to be the first to congratulate you!

And make his first Colt a 6940.

Again, congratulations!

Awesome.  Congratulations.

My children are all getting S&W MP-15s until they demonstrate that they are ready for Colts.  Of course, I'm also getting them legacy life NRA memberships. . . .

Congratulations! The only father-to-father advice I can give you is to enjoy every_single_second with your son. It seems like my daughter was just born a few minutes ago, but she just graduated from 5th grade. She'll be smashing up my car before I know it

And yes, a 6920 or 6520 would be perfect.

Congratulations! Get him a 6940 - it was released the year of his birth.

Good point. I didn't even think about that. Therefore my new answer is one of each

It would be pretty neat if you could buy him a new rifle now, and find one that was made in June 2009.

This is  a great idea. I may need to make some phone calls now.

Thanks everyone for your posts!

Congrats!

I second the notion of buying him a rifle made this month.

Now I'm thinking 6921 SBR. That way when he is "old enough" I can "transfer" it to him.

To me that's classic!

Just put an order in for a LE6920 that was just made in June 2009!

$1,100 too. Not too bad!

Could have saved a few hundred if you went with RRA or Bushmaster.....

Oh and I should probably mention that I also put in an order for a new KAC QDSS-NT4 suppressor for myself!
