FWIW, Midwest Distributors has them for $1,895.00 and they are good people. Probably still kinda high but at least they have them.

Must say I am disappointed with Mike at Code4. Just purchased a 6940 from him then he drops the price $300 three days later. And this is after I asked about prices coming down - his reply was "no they wouldn't because demand is so high"!
Just received a reply from Code4 / Mike basically saying sorry but I'm out of luck on any credit or readjustment. Reason for the big price drop was new cheaper inventory yet the website showed having 6940's in stock all week. If new lower cost inventory was true I'm sure Mike knew the upcoming price change back on Tuesday when he made the sale with me - yet strung me along for the higher price sale. Don't get me wrong, I have no trouble paying the premium price - I walked into this with my eyes wide open understanding the market is volatile. What I do have trouble with is the feeling of being totally mislead by this dealer; and Mike doesn't seem to care too much about his customers. This is a real trust issue especially if you need help with a purchase. Buyer beware with Code4. (I'll follow-up if Mike does reconsider to help make things better.) |
