I got a Colt 6450 that needs soomething for that long barrel. Since its a Colt I don`t want to do anything permanent. I was thinking about a slip over fake suppressor, or a Bushmaster, slip over XM177 flash hider. Whadda yall think? Post some pics if you can |

I considered the slip-over flash hider from Bushmaster for my 6450, however I decided to go the SBR route and I should have the stamp back in a couple of weeks. I am sending my upper to Randall at AR15barrels.com to have the pencil barrel shortened to 10.5". I dig the 9mm SMG look with the A1 upper I'll post pics when I get it together. |

Yeah, it kinda sucks to chop the barrel on a factory upper, however once the stamp comes back I will never have the need for a 16" upper again. I would have liked to snag one of the Colt 9mm SMG kits someone was selling a few weeks ago on the EE. I believe it was everything minus the lower receiver for $500.00 |
Yeah, You're right. Kind of silly to hang onto the long pencil barrel and shell out the bucks for a new SBR upper. Maybe I'll just chop the original. Kind of hard to sell with my name and address on it anyway. |
