Nice! Was your 6520 in stock, or did you have to wait for it? My wife and I went shooting over the weekend and she is getting a little frustrated with her Bushmaster Carbon 15 "Lady" and it's sporadic, nagging malfunctions. I think she has finally turned a corner, and is unfortunately beginning to sour on the rifle  I'd like to buy her a 6520, so she can see what reliability is supposed to be. I just bought myself a 6920, and I suspect that my new pride and joy is going to be comandeered until I find her a  Here's my new Colt, though it probably won't be mine for long   |

My 1990 6601 Sporter Match HBAR just went on a serious diet. Thanks to Bushmaster's Superlight 16" barrel. I bought the stripped upper receiver in EE and added Bushmaster A1 sight kit and an A2 ejection port cover. I like that the cover doesn't contact and wear on the lower like the original cover does. I used Norrell's Colt Dark Gray Molyresin on the sight parts and cover and pin. The upper matched my lower very well and didn't need refinished. The Bushmaster barrel assembley and slipover/reverse flash suppresor were close enough I didn't refinish them either. I was rather surprised. I expected modern black. The bolt carrier assembly and charging handle are RRA I got from RB Precision. They had a great price I couldn't refuse. Put it all together this morning and have 20 rds of Fed. M193 through it. Functions great, though I think I'm shooting a bit low. Wind's blowing around 25 - 30 mph as a storm front is moving through. May have to wait until next week for sight in.

I just added a second MT6400C to my growing stable of ponies. I just got the sling, light, bezel and mount this afternoon and put them right on.  MT6400C w/Aimpoint Comp ML2, ARMS 22M68, cantilever spacer, ARMS #40 BUIS, KAC RAS, KAC VFG, Surefire G2, Z32 bezel and SOP ERB sling.  |
