A friend just gave me a 3 point sling with a Colt label on it.  It is black (of course), 1" webbing.  It attaches with a loop and snap aroun the fron sight towere and a strap through a collapsible stock.  The sling attaches to these adapters with sling hooks.  It is adjustable with a metal slider for "patrol" carry or can be released to shoulder easily.

It reminds me of the Boonie Packer Hi / low sling.

Anyone have any idea when these were sold and who actually made them?  Are they "Colt-lectible"?

Thanks.

They have made them for a while, I think they are made by Wilderness Products, my first one has lasted 8 years on my patrol rifle, the were priced around 40.00.

Is this the sling your refering to???

Here is the order page, 2nd item down...LINK

I had purchased onw with a 6920, exactly the same, I know because I bought several since from this company.

I actually throw away the extra attachment nylon and use the clips with a sling plate on the rear stock and paracord on FSB.  I love this sling, it's really simple and quick.

That looks like it .

I haven't actually put it on, but Ifigure it would be a nice addition to a "no ban" Colt carbine.
