I've got an elcheapo M4gery that gets used for general plinking (no long range stuff) and for a deer rifle for yutes/womens.  It currently has a StrikeFire on it, but the wife thinks that she would like some magnification.  I'm thinking about going with the Diamondback 1.75-5x32 with the V-Plex scope mounted in the 2" offset cantilever mounts.  Does anyone have any better suggestions or comments?  It looked to me like most of the higher tier Vortex low magnification scopes had reticles that were pretty complex for my intended purposes.

I think you've definitely got the right idea for the riflescope choice. That little Diamondback 1.75-5x is a great scope. I have it on one of my close-range deer rifles, too. Thanks, and let us know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help.

I got everything mounted up last night and it looks like it should work well.  I'll know more after I get it to the range this weekend.
