| I'm very interested in this optic. I was wondering if we could get a review on it. Thanks. |

There is a feature video on it available here: http://www.vortexoptics.com/video/spitfire_prism_scope Jimmy is back!!!!!! I'm sure you probably do other stuff well Vortex, but I think you should be the "all time" video/PR guy for them. Did they take you to SHOT this past year? If not... Let's (head vortex man) get Jimmy on the plane next year.

Quoted: Will it hold zero if unmounted and do you know if anyone's making a quick release mount for it? Thanks |

The 3x is about 32mm and the 1x is about 26mm wide. Thanks again and please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. Quoted:

What is the objective diameter (mm)??? Thanks, that is what I was hoping for. I think you guys will do very well with the new Spitfire, since Vortex already has a pretty solid reputation. I am looking forward to picking one up. The reticle, size, and features seem to put it ahead of the other 3x prism sights I have been looking at (Cabela's 3x Tactical Prism, Burris AR-332, Sightmark Wolfhound 3x) |

Quoted: What's the benefit of a prism sight like the Spitfire over a reflex like the Sparc or Strikefire? |

Quoted: I got to handle one of these today and they are very nice. I was surprised to see one on the shelf and the guy said they just got them in a couple days ago. Once I get my AR I will definitely consider one of these spitfire prism scopes. |

one suggestion for the 3x, the rail mount knobs need to be on the left side. it protrudes out too much when mounted in front of buis above the ejection port. i was afraid that the eye relief won't be enough with this placement, but it's just right.
now, i observe that the mounts are based off of Comp M4 somewhat with different hex screw locations. i'm currently looking for existing QD option that may fit the spitfire. ARMS #74 looks like it may work, but the hex screw holes would only allow me to mount it with the lever on the ejection side. i suggest collaborating with american defense on a QD solution. all we need is an adapter/riser that fits their existing AD-B4 base. |
