I have a Vortex Strikefire http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-strikefire-hunting-red-dot-scope-low-30mm-ring on my 5.56x45 ar-15.
Last time I was at the range, it worked great, except a couple of times right after firing, the unit would shut off. Then, when I fired another shot, it would come back on! I thought maybe it was a problem with the battery, so I replaced it. I took it back out to the range today, and for the first 30 round magazine, it functioned flawlessly. Then on the second magazine, about halfway through, it did the same thing again. I suspect that the unit has a problem with it, has anyone else had this happen to them? |

You were right to check the battery first- flickering is a classical low battery sign. However, now that you have the second battery, is the cap screwed down tightly? If you try tightening the cap down a little tighter and that does nothing, please give our customer care center a call and they will be happy to help you out: 800-426-0048 ext. 604. | I would say change the battery first and make sure the cap is screwed down tightly until the cap stops tightening completely. If that doesn't work, give cutstomer care a call and they will definitely get you taken care of.
