Hi guys,
I'm looking into purchasing an optic for my newly built AR. I've narrowed my search down to two different optics, one of which happens to be the Viper PST 1-4. I think my hesitation in purchasing the Viper is that I don't know how durable the optic is. Now I'm not planning to go to war with the optic, but you never know when the next Zombie Apocalypse will strike.
I'd just like to know that the scope could handle the abuse of hunting/ 3gun shooting, etc. Is there a spec on the battery life? - JoeC |

The Viper PST line is rated up to a .50 BMG so it shouldn't have any proplem whatsoever standing up to 3-gun, hunting, etc. It is a very popular scope for us. Speaking of Viper PSTs..... Will Brownells be getting a shipment of 1-4 PST HS anytime soon? thanks, doc |
| The 1-4 Viper HS has been converted over to the PST name. New box, new name. Nothing else has changed on the scope but we will not be seeing a shipment of those scopes for at least another month, posibly two. Our dealers would get supply shortly after we do, so hopefully you will see yours fairly soon. However, keep in mind that I have no idea how many they would receive or what palce you stand in Brownell's queue. Your order may or may not be fulfilled with the next shipment. Just know that I'm speaking in rough estimates. It's hard to predict when any one person will get their scope, but we will try our best to get them out as soon as we can. |
