Range day today.
And today my Strikefire died while running fast double taps.
6th 30rnd mag of the day, 33rd 30rnd mag total since mounted, approx 980rnds fired with Strikefire mounted.

It had been rock solid up till now.
It just quit, then went on/off with every other shot or so and finally died completely.
I tried working the power button, replacing battery, stretching battery spring a little, no go.
Removed optic and finished the day with irons.

Once home I examined it some more and find that it is turning on/off when replacing/screwing in battery cap.
As it is tightened, it goes on/off, and once snug-tight is off completely.
It seems to come on while cap is pretty loose, then off, then on again right as it snugs up, and then goes off again as I reach what I call finger tight.

Purchased from B&H Dec '09, received Jan 2 '10.

mine started doing the same thing, it's on it's way to Vortex to get repaired. Vortex is a great company, send it back and they will take care of you.

vortex is a great company and just think that for the same price of any aimpoint you can stockpile 3-4 strikefires and keep shooting with no problems and a few rounds to sight the new one in .
