| I finally got my hands on a srtikefire and I was wondering if it was ok because the red or green dot looks like a random cluster of grapes. Is this nomal to this optic? |

Have you let anyone else look through it? It could be the sight or it could be astigmatism in your eye. Astigmatism is a pretty common problem that people have with RDS's. If other people are seeing the exact same thing then it might be the sight.
Another trick to try is remove the sight from the rifle and slowly rotate it as you look through it. If the "cluster" rotates with the sight then it's probably the sight. If it stays the same orientation then it's probably astigmatism. You can let me know or give us a call. If there is anything wrong with the sight we'll take care of it. |

I got my new StrikeFire this week and looked through it with my contacts in and reading glasses on and the dot looked like a cluster of grapes. I took my reading glasses off and it was a perfect circle. Same scenerio, later looking through it without my contacts, it was a fuzzy cluster, but became a sharp circle when I put my glasses on.
Bottom line, you need to use the StrikeFire with whatever you use to correct your distance vision, (contacts or glasses).

Let several people look threw it Astigmatism is pretty comon i've found out.
Eo Aimpoint strikefire all of them look like you describe to me if i look at the dot. Shooting both eyes open and looking at the target (don't concentrate on the dot) helps alot for me but everyone is diffrent......... |
