I posted this over on the 65 Grendel forum, but I thought I would try over here as well.  i just ordered a complete 6.5 Grendel and for some reason decided to order the 5.56 barrel and bolt assembly.  Now I am wondering how easy it is to actually swap the 6.5 barrel over to the 5.56 barrel.  I am guessing it's not something you do on a regular basis.  Should I just call and cancel the barrel and bolt?  Thanks for the help.

A couple minutes.  Only difference between swapping a tOBR barrel and these barrels is that you have to hit 4 bolts to take the handguard off.

It wont be something you do that often but like posted above....it'll take 5 minutes max. Take the 4 screws out to remove the handguard and then spin the barrel nut off with a LT wrench. Reverse process to install 5.56 barrel.

Thanks guys!  Any suggestions for a good device to hold it in a vice?

+1 on the bev i think it works better than holding the upper reciever and does not matter what the outside profile is either.
