Mark just posted a picture on Instagram of him and Rick Perry posing with a rifle. Looks like a 2.0 with MLok!

Hopefully these new products along with a stripped lower sale to kit buyers is announced soon.

I'll be the party pooper...if these uppers come out in mlok, I'll be a little mad knowing I could have waited instead of settling for three of the keymod versions.

Some people who don't care what the holes look like might buy them for a reasonable price so you can swap.

The contraptionillo on the end appears to be an extension of the handguard.

Could be one of those integrally suppressed setups where the can is permanently attached to be 16"+ making it a single stamp upper?

Just a thought.

Looks like a QD sling point has been added to the end of the rail system. Nice improvement.

Looks like a different mounting system for handguard to upper.  Also a ambi charging handle whether that is new or not.

My guess is that lower is a SBR. I doubt they SBR a new lower every time they play with a new color.

Probly so. But he is the Guv. I don't expect Mark would mind making an exception for him.   I would just like to see some FDE lowers coming out of Leander for selfish reasons.

It is hard to tell but the rail attachment looks like it might have the tOBR latch. The can appears to be a TranQuilo with a heat shield that attaches to the muzzle device possibly making the shield removeable. (Possibly a request from the boys downrange)

I wonder if it makes any difference with the mirage/heat signature or if it is strictly to prevent burns from hand position on an SBR.

I'm not an engineering genius, but I have locked two Airmen into a room with two bowling balls and when I returned, one was missing and the other was broke in half.  The Airmen were adamant, honest to God, they were that way when they received them.  My point, that suppressor cover might not be troop proof.

That story brings back so many "What did the private do now?" moments.

Agree that nothing is troop proof. Just thinking that it might not get quite as hot as the TranQuilo's outer skin. Thus saving your skin when you slide your support hand too far down the SBR.

Don't disagree, but the open nature of the webbing might not withstand a LAV door too well, or, if the dimensions are close, a troop using it as a bottle opener.

P.S.  Feel free to substitute FedEx employees for Airmen.

I thought the saying was for oil roughnecks.

If you locked a roughneck in an impenetrable empty room with nothing but three steel balls he'd break one, lose one and steal one within an hour.
