Interesting... but why in the LaRue forum? So any of the LaRuminati trapped in the Peoples Communist Republic of California that are ordering barrels etc know they have a 'Legal' Option to replace the original bullet button as they order barrels etc on sale... |

Yeah...especially when he called the extended rear takedown pin an "extended mag release." Capitalism finds a way. Quoted:

Yeah...especially when he called the extended rear takedown pin an "extended mag release." Capitalism finds a way. I'm ok with capitalism. I have a feeling he had somethings to do with the new laws. He helped write them in some way and made a product to profit off of them. I hope I am wrong.

I don't get this current stuff with CA. We've had these things for years in NY called the ARmaglock. In fact none of this CA stuff is new; even the laws are duplicates of the SAFE act from a few years ago. We've been dealing with it for years and now all of a sudden everyone and their grandma cares about the gun laws in CA.

Much as I hope that product is successful, I have to wonder how sturdy it is... I mean it looks like if the weapon was simply dropped (no tools required or the action being opened), it might likely break or bend the little paw off /outward & suddenly become an evil, world-ending, dastardly assault weapon of ultimate 10-round terrorism again. ![]()
Which makes me wonder just how long it will be before CA brings about a quick end to it. I hate to say it, but I think Cali is simply done for. |

Guy invented a device to instantly stop a tablesaw's blade when it contacted skin and then tried to get the device to be mandated by law as required equpment. ![]() Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

FWIW, this is technically not a new idea.
I don't remember the exact details of it, but several years back, a similar bill had come up in CA. In response to the bill, Rainier Arms came out with pretty much the same product. They called it the "MR2". However, the bill did not pass at that time and the MR2 was quickly forgotten. Here's an article on it from 2013: http://www.guns.com/2013/08/19/introducing-the-ar-mr2-bullet-button-alternative-video/ |

All California has done with this bill is add bullet buttons to the original bill...... |
