I have a spare 18" stealth barrel that is waiting for my 2.0 upper and I was thinking about sending it out for some work (cut, weld & pin, maybe reprofile).
Does anyone know if there is any coating or treatment done to the bore/chamber? I was thinking about having it nitride coated as I want it to be pretty durable once all this other work is done. Any input would be appreciated. |

I've had barrels cerakoted but not the bores or chamber... Why would you do the bore/chamber? I was thinking of having it nitrided for wear resistance as it would make the surface harder without adding any material so it would still keep its accuracy potential. |
